He's been saying mama and dada for forever now and "da" also for dog, but he truly, really knows what he's saying when he says "da" or "doggy." I still don't think he has a clue when he says mama or dada.
And in fact that's pretty much all he says now. He runs up to one of the dogs and says "da" or "doggy."
I hate him. I mean, I was in labor 19 hours and had a near-death experience with my freaking epidural, and his first real word is DOGGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow. your kid sounds like a total loser. i mean, you've got a point--he should show his appreciation to his mother. she did, after all, care for him during her pregnancy and delivery, and also buys him lots and lots of presents and lets him eat rocks and make rock soup and let him steal other kids' toys and gives him lots of kisses and only gets like 5 hours of sleep a night because of him, and tattooed his name on her body and and and and....yeah, your kid is just mean. a big meanie. and your little dogs, too.

Grandma & Grandpa D. say he can come and live with us. He can even call us "doggy" if he wants to.

Doggie has always been Mans' best friend. So I would have to support Mr. Max all the way! However, he will soon realize "Chinook" is a close second.
